Fieldwork

Medical Teams Worldwide provides independent medical teams of 4- 10 members working on short term anywhere between one to four weeks. The team works, when possible, in concert with other non-medical groups who have targeted a given people group, along with local authorities.

Medical Teams Worldwide utilizes; physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses and medical assistants, and non-medical volunteers on our trips. We often donate our left over medical supplies to local healthcare providers or local operating organizations where possible .

In the field, we render primary medical care, seeing from 120 -200 patients a day. We immunize and provide nutritional supplements to children , and distribute mosquito nets when possible.
